Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Greek Ties platform (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you are using Greek Ties on behalf of a chapter or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Greek Ties is a private alumni networking platform for Greek-letter organizations. The Service provides chapter alumni directories, member profiles, mentorship matching, direct messaging, and chapter administration tools. Access to features varies by subscription tier.

3. Age Requirement

Greek Ties is intended solely for users who are 18 years of age or older. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. Users under 18 are not permitted to create an account or use the platform.

If we learn that a user is under 18, we will immediately suspend their account and delete any associated personal data. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us at support@greekties.com.

4. Account Registration

To use Greek Ties, you must create an account and provide accurate, current information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@greekties.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts for the same individual. Accounts are personal and non-transferable.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Greek Ties to:

• Harass, threaten, or harm other members.
• Post or transmit spam, unsolicited communications, or promotional content.
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any organization.
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the platform without our written consent.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
• Upload or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringes third-party rights.
• Use the platform for any commercial solicitation without prior written permission.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

6. Payments and Subscriptions

Greek Ties offers paid subscription plans for chapters. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the payment method you provide through our payment processor, Stripe, on a recurring annual basis.

All fees are stated in US dollars and are exclusive of applicable taxes. You are responsible for any taxes or duties imposed by your jurisdiction.

Prices are subject to change. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect for existing subscribers.

7. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting us at support@greekties.com. Upon cancellation, your access will continue through the end of the current billing period. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for unused portions of a subscription term.

Refund requests made within 14 days of the initial subscription purchase may be considered on a case-by-case basis. To request a refund, contact us with your account details and reason for the request.

8. Intellectual Property

The Greek Ties platform, including its design, software, and content created by us, is owned by Greek Ties and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our platform without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of content you upload to the platform (such as profile information and messages). By submitting content, you grant Greek Ties a limited, non-exclusive license to store and display that content as necessary to operate the Service.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of member-submitted content, including directory information, profiles, or messages.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Greek Ties and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to Greek Ties in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including liability, ownership, and dispute resolution clauses) will remain in effect.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Delaware.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
